Our Initial Design Consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know you, understand your vision, and learn more about how you want your home to look, feel, and function. During our 90-minute meeting, we’ll walk through your space(s), discuss your goals and priorities, review our design questionnaire, and answer any questions you may have.

We’ll explore your personal style, lifestyle, needs, expectations, and investment for the project, while establishing a preliminary scope of work and budget. We’ll also introduce you to our design philosophy and walk you through our process and design agreement so you have a clear understanding of what it’s like to work with us.

We’ll also discuss your anticipated investment and establish a preliminary scope for the project. You’ll be introduced to our signature design process and what you can expect when partnering with McBride Design, including a review of our design agreement.

Design concepts, selections, and plans are developed once your project is formally engaged. We’ll share more about our comprehensive design process during our time together.

Our goal is simple: to create a home that feels unmistakably yours— beautifully considered, deeply personal, and designed to be enjoyed for years to come.

Color Consultation

Color consultancy brings a custom scheme to your home. We come to you and look at your light, architecture, finishes and furnishings. In addition, we inquire what you like and what you don’t like and how you want your space to feel. With our experienced advice, we come up with a unique-to-you color palette of paint and wallpaper. This includes 1 hour in your home, large paint swatches delivered to your home post consultation, and a finalized paint schedule for your painters.

DIY Consultation

-2 to 3 hours

2-3 hour on-the-spot brainstorm consultation, depending on scope, which includes a written suggestion of to-do’s such as paint colors, furniture layout, furniture websites, sketches. Our clients can implement the recommendations on their own, or hire us later on to develop a concrete design.

Travel Time

Note:

  1. Phone Design Consultations, emails, and texts over a designated reasonable amount of time are considered billable hours.

  2. Billing is invoiced monthly at the end of the month, and payment is due within 10 business days.

  3. On-site consultations are paid prior to the consultation.

  4. A credit of one design hour will be applied with a google review.

  5. For full-service projects, we budget a designated amount of hours for communication based on your project’s scope. This bank of hours is spent whenever we discuss your project outside of the meetings/presentations included in our scope of work. Communications can take the form of phone calls, emails and text messages. We will track this time for you, and in the event we are approaching the end of this bank of time, will let you know since communications happening over this amount of time would be considered billable hours.
