Meet and Greet - Initial Consultation

This get-to-know consultation helps us learn more about your space and your goals. We will walk through your space(s), review our questionnaire and any questions you might have, chat with you to have a better understanding of your needs, style, and expectations, and establish a preliminary scope and budget. We will then sit down and explain our design process at McBride Design and review our design agreement.

After our consultation, we will provide you with a written proposal within one week outlining the scope of work, the number of hours and time frame we expect your project will take, the design fee for our services and the advance on our design fee required to get started. Please note that the proposal does not include a design plan for your project. We will be happy to describe the design process in more detail during our meeting.

When you choose to move forward with us on a flat fee project, the consultation fee is applied to your account and can be used as a bank of hours for out-of-scope or after project follow up.

Color Consultation

Color consultancy brings a custom scheme to your home. We come to you and look at your light, architecture, finishes and furnishings. In addition, we inquire what you like and what you don’t like and how you want your space to feel. With our experienced advice, we come up with a unique-to-you color palette of paint and wallpaper. This includes 1 hour in your home, large paint swatches delivered to your home post consultation, and a finalized paint schedule for your painters.

DIY Consultation

- 2 hours

2 hour on-the-spot brainstorm consultation which includes a written suggestion of to-do’s such as paint colors, furniture layout, furniture websites, sketches. Our clients can implement the recommendations on their own, or hire us later on to develop a concrete design.

Travel Time

Note:

  1. Phone Design Consultations, emails, and texts over a designated reasonable amount of time are considered billable hours.

  2. Billing is invoiced monthly at the end of the month, and payment is due within 10 business days.

  3. On-site consultations are paid prior to the consultation.

  4. A credit of one design hour will be applied with a google review.

  5. For full-service projects, we budget a designated amount of hours for communication based on your project’s scope. This bank of hours is spent whenever we discuss your project outside of the meetings/presentations included in our scope of work. Communications can take the form of phone calls, emails and text messages. We will track this time for you, and in the event we are approaching the end of this bank of time, will let you know since communications happening over this amount of time would be considered billable hours.
