I love love the unity a large-scale piece brings to a space. It shouts confidence! In this example, it’s a double dose of confidence in that bold color choice. Violet purple is not for the faint of heart,… a favorite Crayola color once upon a time!
If the large scale is as daring as you’ll get, then keep the subject more subdued, in shades of black-white-gray: fool-proof!
Look how this colorful, sizable (just about floor-to-ceiling) abstract piece reinforces the fun, casual vibe in this eating area.

This whimsical gallery wall mixes round and square and just works! Know that gallery walls take some planning in placement as well as in content. For this reason, one large- scaled piece of art is much easier to work with.
